Summary of the project
Beneficiaries arrived in the morning on 1st
July 2006 at the main railway station in Wroc³aw. Marcin
Borucki from FUTURUM team picked them up. They were
transported to their apartment, where they had two rooms
at their disposal.
On first weekend a group was taken for a guided tour
through the city of Wroc³aw. They visited the modern
centre as well as the old town, got to know the history
of the city and the most popular places there.
During the firs t
week they were introduced by the companies where they
started their placements afterwards. They were placed in
the companies as follows:

During next weeks the beneficiaries continued working in
their companies. They went to work every day for eight
hours. They were conducting tasks given to them by their
tutors.
Irina was taking part in the implementation of
reliability test in the laboratory of washing machines
department. She also collected and analysed the
information on quality by contacting Quality Deparmtents
of French and Spanish subsidiaries of her company. She
also processed the statistical control and analysed its
results.
Bogdan, who was placed in the same company as Irina, has
studied all the production processes connected with
“bottle neck” under the supervision of engineers
reponsible for these processes. He was also gathering
information about all possible defects that can appear
on a refrigerator unit, time after which they occur and
possible causes. As a result he worked on a control
procedure for the I Irina by processing of washing
machines’ quality control aesthetical outlook of the
refrigerator unit and another one – for refrigerator and
freezer doors. When the procedures were ready, he took
part in their implementation at the aesthetical control
check point and at the sandwich foaming machine. In the
end, he elaborated a work instruction for the trimmer
and a control plan with measurement tool that is to be
designed and used in the dimensional control of
different models of liners.
Ionut Stanescu was placed in Volvo Polska Sp. z o.o., in
Quality Department. In the beginning, he went through
the information process ,
received an internal training and got know the overview
of a company. After being introduced, he worked mainly
on errors tracking, took photos of them and looked for
possible solutions. He dealt also with 5S on production
lines with work centres visualisation and wrote a report
based on customers’ comments on problems found in Volvo
buses. After having finished the report he was
responsible for cooperation with the person responsible
for solving such production problems and finding a
solution.
The students accumulated a lot of new skills connected
with their interests and obtained a practical knowledge
closely related with their education.
On Saturday, 30th
of September the students were taken to the railway
station and travelled back to Romania.
