Summary of the project

FUTURUM, host organization, received following beneficiaries for a practical training in Wroc³aw (Poland) in the framework of the European Leonardo da Vinci – Lifelong Learning Programme:

Beneficiaries arrived in the morning on 1st March 2009 with a rented bus which picked them up from Berlin airport. They were welcome by FUTURUM team and checked in at their apartment.
On first day a group was taken for a guided tour through the city of Wroc³aw. They visited the modern centre as well as the old town, got to know the history of the city and the most popular places there.
During following days beneficiaries continued their programme of workshops and study visits, which included:

During meeting at Electronic Scientific Plantso Centre of Vocational Learning, which is the place to organize practical classes for students from all vocational schools from Wroc³aw. Guided tour through the Centre; attending presentation of the Centre, led by Mrs. Halina Madej (vice-director of the Centre). Taking part in IT related classes
• Visit to Electronic Scientific Plants, which are a vocational school teaching in IT fields. Welcome by Mrs. Dorota Wili
nska, a vice-director, school presentations, done by one of the students. Decription of Polish educational system; discusssion differences between Poland and Turkey in terms of learning programms, equipment, devises etc.
Vocational School Complex No. 4 in Wroclaw, meeting students, directors (Mrs. Elzbieta Gembicka – director, Mrs. Marta Skala-Kowalczyk – vice-director) and professional advisor of the school – Mr. Witold Szymanski. Observing school’s equipment and getting informed about learning programme. Schools presentation combined with a tour through its premises
• Meeting in Lower Silesia High School.

All beneficiaries accumulated a lot of new skills connected with their interests and obtained a practical knowledge closely related with their education. They also gained information about the whole country, its customs and tradition. It gave them the overview of Polish culture and believes.
On Saturday, 14th March the group was picked up by the minibus and taken to the airport, from where they travelled back to Turkey.
