Summary of the project
FUTURUM, host organization, received following
beneficiaries for a practical training in Wroc³aw
(Poland) in the framework of the European Leonardo da
Vinci
– Lifelong Learning Programme::

Beneficiaries
arrived on 15th
April 2009 at the airport in Wroclaw together with their accompanying
person teacher. They were picked up by Futurum team and checked in at their apartment.
On Thursday, 16th
April, they attended a guided tour through the city of
Wroclaw. They visited
the modern centre as well as the old town. They got to
know the history of the city and the most popular places
there. They gained information about the whole country, its
customs and tradition. It gave them the overview of
Polish culture and believes.
On
Friday, 17th
April, they started a four
week language course, organized by Futurum in
cooperation with language school El Universo.
During
the weekdays the beneficiaries were performing their
professional training aimed at renewable energy,
consisting of:
On second weekend the beneficiaries were taken for a
guided tour through Lower Silesia, including:
Underground City Osowka, Silver Mountain fortress, Ksiaz
Castle and New Ore ancient coal mine.
Within the training programme, beneficiaries acquired
good working skills, such as team working and ability to
adapt to another country’s customs. They were able to
work and live independently. After having passed their
training programme they are well qualified and prepared
for developing work relations in their home country.
Their English is fluent, so they could work abroad and
profit from the new international possibilities created
by the EU.
On Wednesday, 13th
May the students left their apartment and were taken to
Wroclaw airport, from where they flew back to Portugal.
