Summary of the project

FUTURUM, host organization, received following beneficiaries for a practical training in Wrocław (Poland) in the framework of the European Leonardo da Vinci – Lifelong Learning Programme:

Beneficiaries arrived in the morning on 5^th April 2009 with the minibus that picked them up from Berlin airport. Ula Stawowczyk from FUTURUM team picked them up. They checked in at their apartments.

On first day a group was taken for a guided tour through the city of Wrocław. They visited the modern centre as well as the old town, got to know the history of the city and the most popular places there.

Afterwards they started a technical visits programme, consisting of:

• acquiring knowledge about Polish and EU educational system
• getting acquainted with the latest improvements in the field of IT technologies
• observing and examining the applications of different solutions

The programme was supplemented by cultural activities:

• trip through Lower Silesia including: Underground City Osowka, Silver Mountain fortress, Ksiaz Castle and New Ore ancient coal mine
• trip to Prague
• trip to Cracow and Auschwitz

They gained information about the whole country, its customs and tradition. It gave them the overview of Polish culture and believes.

All beneficiaries accumulated a lot of new skills connected with their interests and obtained a practical knowledge closely related with their education.

On Saturday, 18^th April the beneficiaries travelled back to Turkey.
