The program offers a practical training at a local furniture manufacturing company or carpentry plant. The partcipants learn about production techniques, initial processing of the wood based materials, applying different materials, technologies and methods used in furniture surface processing as well as production of upholstered items. The participants are also provided with instructions on occupactional health and safety. They have also an opportunity to work on their own individual carpentry projects, coordinated by their tutors.
